Employability Website is just finished …
Some of our members joined the exciting learning and research project Intercultural Employability which was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. One purpose of the project is to design intercultural learning experiences for the Chinese and German young professional in preparation for their career in the global world.
During the project, 10 German and 10 Chinese students are working together on some challening projects for 20 days in China and Germany; and also virtually through the web. Using this action learning approach, which was combined with lectures, guest lectures, company visits as well as culture programs makes the intercultural learning experiences more vivid and long-lasting.
One of our member – Shentu Teng – designe and creates the web documentation of it. You are invited to take a look and find out more about the program.
Best Practices in Cross-Cultural Research
This presentation (6/6) should give you a good introduction about four of the most important theories in cross-cultural research. Main focus of the presentation is showing the different research methodologies used in these studies; from the factor analysis (Hofstede), social dilemma (Trompenaars), smallest space analysis (Schwartz) and evaluation research (Bennet). Last but not least, a generic process model of doing quantitative research is introduced.
Quantitative Methodologies
I want to share a series of slides from my previous lecture together with Dr. Quan HE on “Quantitative Methodologies in Cross-Cultural Research?”. Target group of the lecture was graduate students in intercultural studies. The lecture series should give the students a general overview on the quantitative research methods, focusing on cross-cultural areas.
In this presentation, also incl. some best practices research in cross-cultural psychology, incl. Hofstede, Trompenaars, Schwarzts, etc.
So Enjoy,
