Guest Lecture Current Research and Discussion on Culture Standard
by Prof. Dr. Alexander Thomas of Regensburg University.
Prof. Thomas is world-known recognized expert in the areas of cross-cultural psychology and intercultural management. He has published more than 50 books and 200 articles, mainly for the topic related to culture and psychology. He is the one who introduced the construct and theory of “culture standard” which is a standard theory among the cross-cultural psychologist in German speaking countries, incl. Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In 2004 he got the price as “German Psychologist of the Year” which is regarded is one of the highest award for psychologist in Germany.
This guest lecture will also include some reports on the experiences and results from the project International Employability. It will takes place in Zhejiang University, Xixi Campus, Psychology Building on Thursday, June 10 from 09:30 to 12:00.
International Employability – Journey to China
March 15th is the day where our wonderful journey begins. Twenty students from both two sides, Germany and China, are all dressed up for this existing and important moment – the Opening Ceremony for the project “International Employability”.
Dr. Thomas Prinz from the German General Consulate (Shanghai) is the our honorable guest. He open the program by giving a keynote on the the German-Chinese Collaboration in Economic, Culture, Education and Research.
International Employability project is an applied research and learning program, collaboration project between RheinAhr Campus of FH Koblenz (Germany) with the School of Psychology, Zhejiang University (China). The project is funded by the BMBF (German Federal Ministry for Education and Research) as part of the German-Chinese Scientific Year Program.
